That moment when you remember that the aliens you're with are... well, ALIEN.

Oh dear. That is very morbid and not promising at all.

I... somehow doubt that this person will wake up anytime soon.

Now, it is interesting to ponder were exactly the misunderstanding comes from.
Is it simply that the jellyfish aliens are immortal and thus don't have a concept of death?
Or... is it because they don't have a skeleton? This could mean that when they die, their corpses quickly shrivel up into formless husks, accompanied by a large reduction of volume. A deceased lifeform that keeps its overall shape thus may simply not appear dead to them...

I think you'll get a few more answers about the nature of the misunderstanding in the next few pages. But I love the no skeleton theory!
They definitely don't understand that the person's body has decayed - it's just changed.

I was afraid of that. D:

Are Halasi (and this unfortunate dude) the first time humans have met aliens?

Explorers have come across more simple organisms, but this is the first time humans have had a proper "first contact" situation.

Interesting that the jelly thought they are the same species. The other one clearly has a hard glass bubble for a head XD XD

    Yeah, i mean DUH!

(Serious answer is that I think they perceive the world in a very different way to us - the Big Squishy thinks they were similar because when the human was alive, their mind and thoughts felt similar to Halisi's, and their similar physicality is a bit of a bonus.)
